We are very happy to announce that the Call for participation in the WTFLabourLaw Summer Camp 2020 is out.
The Camp will be held from 3 to 7 July 2020 at the ExFadda – www.exfadda.it – in San Vito dei Normanni (BR), Puglia, Italy.
After our first Camp in 2018, we keep on working for a transformative labour law informed by a sharp critique of capitalism, infused with the voices of labour movements, and invigorated by the spirit of struggle. The theme of the 2020 edition is ‘Theory and Praxis’.
We invite you to circulate the attached Call among your contacts or networks of scholars as well as trade unionists and labour activists. Indeed, all scholars (irrespective of their career level, academic position or affiliation status), trade unionists and labour activists are welcome to apply. Applying is simple: just send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org in which you attach a CV and a brief statement of motivation (max 1,000 words) outlining your research and/or activist endeavours and your interest in the Camp and the MLC, no later than 15 December 2019.
Acceptances along with information about registration will be communicated to applicants by January 2020.All information on the 2020 Camp will be available from February 2020 on https://themovinglabourcollective.org
The Camp is a self-financed event; the participation fee covers accommodation in a shared apartment, lunches, dinners (breakfast not included) and the use of facilities at ExFadda during the days of the event. This means that travel costs are not included in the fee, and participants are expected to make their own arrangements. The final fee amount will depend on the overall number of registrants and the specific booking requests each person makes, however, it would be around 450 EUR.We offer two scholarships to fully cover the participation fee for two colleagues with insufficient access to institutional funding.
We look forward to meeting you at ExFadda in July 2020!
